This new book focus in goal 5 started its path two years ago. The initial idea was to research about the gender impact in every goal of the Agenda 2030. After some readings it was confirmed the difficulty to carry out an analysis about every goal, keeping in mind all the indicators and the lack of information in many of the cases. After some discussions the decision was to invite experts from every goal in the agenda and from different geographical areas to prepare a paper to be considered as a starting point for future research and training. The results confirm that many work is still pending and that gender equality is not only a goal itself but also a pre-condition for the accurate implementation of the 17 goals. The analysis and recommendations of this book do not necessarily reflect the official views of the SDG Fund Secretariat, the United Nations or its Member States.
